Victoria (Lee County, FL)
Victoria shares her experience with Medicaid in Florida and seeking help for her autistic daughter. Click here to read about her daughter, Tal, and learn how Medicaid helped her develop from being a non-verbal child to communicating for a living, as an actress on the Netflix series “Atypical”.
"My daughter is autistic. She learned to read about the same time she began to speak at four years old. And she was taught to do both by
an SLP funded by Florida Medicaid."

Medicaid is an essential program for over 4 million Floridians, providing healthcare coverage for pregnant women and their newborn babies, children in low-income families and those with special health needs, frail seniors, and persons with disabilities needing long-term services and support. Yet, some beneficiaries experience systemic barriers to necessary care.
Sharing the stories of those who rely on Medicaid is critical. Your video testimonial will serve as a powerful advocacy tool to help educate the public, the media and policymakers in understanding how important Medicaid is for Floridians and their families.
